WR 9U Blue shut the door early on the Tidewater Drillers, capturing a 10-1 victory in their first game of the Top Gun Summer World Series.
Five runs in the first three innings allowed 9U Blue to put the game away early.
West Raleigh was led by Christian Schmidt who had 2 hits and 3 RBI's along with Penn Sealey who racked up two RBIs on one hit. Colby Gallimore, Carter Holjes, and Adam Bloebaum all added 2 hits each.
Matt Willadsen, Sam Kulasingam and Carter Holjes combined to allow only 1 run on 3 hits in 6 innings while striking out 6.
